Why is a Raven like a writing desk?

Hello readers!

Its been a while since updated a look, well, here it is! I love how this look just came to me in rush hours. I usually plan my clothes a day before or do some shopping to complete a look, but this one was made from pure resourcefulness and adrenaline rush. The jeans were from mum. 2 years back she bought some colorful jeans because it was trendy that time, now she refuses to wear it, well, she uses it occasionally though. So I borrowed these from her (she has like 6 diff. colors). Im also considering doing some color blocking which pretty much Ill discuss in a later post. Im adding some new colorful recruits to my wardrobe because Im getting too overwhelmed with the neutrals (esp black). Ill be choosing out some bold colors from my wardrobe and arrange them in a color wheel and start color blocking. I usually go to ‘wear palettes‘ for some inspiration on what color palette should I use, color blocking might help me too 🙂

The look kind of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Im still regretting on the fact that a teacup and a saucer would be a great prop to this look 😐

The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.

Hello readers! So Im back from my 3-day hiatus because I went to Boracay for a little summer getaway. Its already been ages since I got back from this beautiful place, probably 8 years ago. Ok so Im about to tell the story of the 3-day trip in one whole post! Now get your popcorn (or potatoes if you prefer) + the best part is… PICTURES!!! ok now, let’s start.

So here are us (we’re 5 actually) waiting for our ferry ride to Boracay.

There were many poeple at the terminal that time + there was a ‘senior band’ playing some classic beats.

Of course there were tickets. Terminal fees and Environmental fees and a government pass. Was a bit pricey though.

Here’s the Pier, Waiting for our ride at this point. It was cloudy. but it didnt rain 🙂

and here’s our ride. The ferry is air conditioned. Note: Dont take Air-conditioned ferries. Its not wort it. You’ll just ride in an Air conditioned room for just 15 minutes.

Along the way you can see the pristine aqua blue waters and this little rock island. I dont know if people go here, but the view is breath-taking.

Depending on how long you’ve waited and how fast the ferry is, you’ll be there in approximately 15 minutes.  We’ve actually waited for 30 minutes and a travel time of 10 minutes. Here is mom arriving at the pier. The ladder was a bit woozy.

We booked a hotel which is approximately 2 km away from the capital. At least the resort was not too mainstream (I hate crowded places) and the pool is HUGE with artificially made waves . Oh and another thing, we can go to the capital for free because the resort provides transportation to and from the capital.

So here’s the exterior look of the rooms we lived in for the last 3 days. (I didnt took a picture of the interior because of the mess which is too improper for wordpress). The room had 6 beds which humbly accommodated 5 of us and one small bathroom, there are also a couple outdoor showers.

SO that was the day when we arrived. When nigh came, we decided to swim in the pool + lounge in the Jacuzzi. There were pictures, but its too blurry and dark. It feels kinda free to swim in that gigantic pool.

The next day…..

Had to wake up early since we dont want our precious stay here go to waste through oversleeping (I only had 6 hours of sleep). Here is me completely dressed up sitting at the mini beach reading + taking pictures. Didnt had the chance to take a picture of the sunset and sunrise (what was I thinking?!). Waited for an hour till ll of them were ready to go.

Here’s the view that you’ll see at the right. If you look closely there’s a cave.

Here’s the left side. The shore’s piled up with dead leaves and mildly some garbage, but the water’s clean all throughout. There’s  boat and a little shed, wish I could go there, but idk if that’s the resort’s property or not.

here’s another more ‘colorful’ view.

Im still baffled on the fact that the shore was covered with small corals and not white sand.

Here’s the view when you approach the shore. I was leaving for the mall at this point.

There’s this wonderful rest house next to the resort. The owner of this house must be drop dead rich.

By this point, we’re already travelling to the capital + we’re going to “D*mall” to find some souvenirs and stuff.

Finally arrived there. The place is scattered with boutiques. You can find almost anything here that fits your summer needs. Of course, this place is full of pricey stuff, if you dig deeper into the ‘shopping maze’ the price will get cheaper. Im basically looking for a summer shirt, round sunnies and a boat hat.

this is probably a novelty shop. Full of souvenirs and those lanterns and some tie-dyed summer dresses and shirts.

Here are my companions. Mum my sister and our maid. They were probably gonna buy some new bikinis in this shop.

Here is me and my sister. Leaving those pricey shoppes behind. We’re actually looking for the beach.

after a couple of turns and twirls, you’ll eventually get to the beach. So here it is. We decided to walk in the sandy streets since I myself dont want getting burned (maybe not now). The beach is great! The white sand and the aqua waves blend beautifully! and what made the beach more beautiful to look at are strolling shirtless hot guys (drools).

And I was right! You can find some more cheaper (and more fabulous) finds at the end of a pricey road.  The hats from the earlier shoppes we entered we’re like 250 pesos (approx. 5 dollars) yet the hats cost 150 pesos here (approx 3 dollars) and you can even haggle! hahaha bought two hats here, a fedora (that  light brown one) and a boat hat.

So here’s mum feeling fabulous in a new summer hat she bought. Obviously getting red of the heat (I’m still amazed she haven’t broke out from the heat waves).

and behold, the hotel for all the royal bloods and celebrities. IDK what’s the rates of this hotel, but damn, by the looks of it, its gonna cost me a fortune just a one-night stay.

moving on… of course I need to take a photo of myself! The heat was searing, still, the beach is breath-taking.

So we arrived (and stopped-over) at another pricey hotel. Probably one second to Boracay Regency. Again, I dont know what are the rates.

So here’s a concrete photo of the ‘sandy streets’ I was talking about. The place is active at night.

Some necklaces and accessories which you can buy for a cheap price. Some are sold 3 for 100 pesos (approx 2 dollars). Smaller keepsakes are sold for 7 for 100 pesos or possibly free, if you bought a lot of things from the store.

who’s a fanatic for feathers and native american stuff? they sell these medium dream catchers for 180 pesos (approx. 4 dollars). There are smaller ones, there were some dream catcher necklaces and geauges for 60 pesos  (approx. 1.5 dollars).

A closer look.

The store also seels some ‘sarongs’ which I prefer to call a scarf or a shawl great for cover ups when you’re wearing bikinis. They’re pricey. One not low than 300 pesos (approx. 6 dollars)

There were lots of colorful shorts and floral shirts. Paintings and crafts. The owner is probably a Muslim.

Pins, Coin purses, magnets, key chains and shell  merch.

My face is red from all the heat.

And a flurry of shoppes appear.

Another novelty shop to buy some souvenirs.

Cute mirror.

Cute starfishes. Dried and Dyed. I still hope they didnt kill these things.

More shells 🙂

More Merch.

Even more merch.

merch. merch. merch.

Oooooh what I’d pay to bask in the sun, swim in the waves, parasail and dive ooh and some banana boating.

And there’s this interesting shoppe. There’s some bones and stuff. Remember those tooth necklaces? I think they’re only sold there.

There’s a lot of tents and places where you cant eat lunch on the sand + admire the splendor of the island.

Now leaving D*mall. We actually bought something.

At this point, we already went back to the resort and had some rest. We went back again at 6 pm to explore the island at night.

The island is actually pretty at night. Lights and stuff. The “party hot spots” and disco clubs gets more crowded after 12 mn. The island gets more crowded at 7 pm, probably because dinner is a great thing.

Bokehs…. *drools* o_0

So Ill keep posting some pictures of the island at night. Not much to say.

Probably one of the most colorful and prettiest place on the island. This is actually a dinner spot. They have couches and coffee tables inside 🙂

IDK if this resembles a Gay hot spot. But still, its pretty 🙂

At least we encountered a small rendition of the famous sandcastle in Boracay 🙂

There’s a store of all flip flops. Havaianas flip flops.

We were hungry from all the walking. So we were searching for a place to eat some grub, seafood grub. Ended up eating at the local Mang Inasal, because the prices will make mum’s wallet bleed to death. Still craving for lobster though.

And we also encountered these living statues. Actually, its not worth to take a picture with them (you need to tip them!)

So after we ate dinner, we went back to the resort and rested. The day after we made a last swim on the pool (they turned on the waves btw)

The following pictures are our departure from the island.

We also decided to visit the cold springs at Caticlan, Huro Hurom cold springs to be exact. But we ended up not to, because there were to many people (I hate crowded places).

Here are some photos.

The springs were ICE COLD.

After suffering many “crashes” like overheating I took the chance to photograph the road encased with lush. Quite beautiful if you asked me 🙂

I also took the time to do some Bokehs with focused subjects.

Well that is it! Im home now, and need to deal with people, especially back at school. Thanks for everything Boracay! I did enjoy! Maybe next time Ill go rougher and enjoy my stay there!

How about you guys? have you been to Boracay? share me the highlights of your trip and stay 🙂

SO SORRY for the long post. I hope you enjoyed your potato 🙂

See you all in the next post!

Taking Andromeda for a walk

Hello everyone!

So I just finished my Galaxy DIY weeks ago. Its been fun doing it + it turned out quite awesome. I also made sure the paint ran dry and I also washed it before I would use it. The outcome was great! The Tee is clean + the design is crisp! Added a galaxy patter at the bacl and some cuts. Removed the collar since round collars strangle me + I want my collar bones to be visible (seems sexy) although I did hid it with my scarf. still. Anyway here are some photos. I want to do some copies + sell these but idk.

Black Scarf.  DIY Galaxy Shirt. Black Shorts. Black Long Cardigan. Toms Shoes. Prada backpack.

Im maximizing the potentials of my 1-year old camera. Im shooting in RAW and although it eats memory too much (my memory is only 2 GB) the results are quite great and post processing is a breeze and more easy to manipulate! Im also toning down my editing since some people been saying that my photos are a over edited or such so Im trying to “naturally” edit my photos.

shirt inspiration:

Will be having a fab vacation tomorrow to the white beaches so Ill see this monday 🙂

See you all in the next post!

The thing about jobs

Hello once again readers.

Just wanted to share this small thing and I want to stress it out.

I wanted to be a fashion designer, or an interior designer or anything that involves my creativity since it is my passion. Im in college right now and going to finish a 4-year medical course. I also want to be a doctor (my parents arent really pressuring me) a dermatologist (which I have to complete in another 4 or 5 years) actually since beauty, is also a passion of mine + it is a well payed job. Im just bothered that here (I dont know if its Asian issues or the society) you are judged entirely if your work is well payed for. Personally, my first choice was to be a fashion designer, so basically I plan on taking up fashion designing. We all know those fashion designers are already billionaires but I think finding a job (when Im already a designer) is gonna be hard + the job is not very practical according to speculations they would say its just a ‘hobby job’.

I dont know if its the culture or how much people want to earn money. I just want my job to be something I want to work for, something that my passion is involved so that I have that feeling of gratefulness every Monday and proudly exclaiming “I love my work.” But I cant bear with it. Since a well payed job will get you higher in the society ranks but the belief is just stupid :|. Probably the reason why most people hate their jobs.

Anyway, Ill just stick with it. Might as well be a fashion designer, when time + opportunity permits me. You gotta start with the small things.

Comments are welcome.

Very intriguing personality test! :)

quick post.

Pls answer these questions and dont peak at the results. This is fun. Get a piece of paper and write down your answers to every question. you’ll be surprised 🙂

Ready?

1. You are walking in the woods. Who are you walking with?

2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal is it?

3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal?

4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing and before you is your Dream House. Describe its size.

5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?

6. You enter the house. You walk to the dining area and see the dining table. Describe what you see on AND around the table.

7. You exit the house through the back door. Lying in the grass is a cup. What material is the cup made of?

8. What do you do with the cup?

9. You walk to the edge of the property, where you find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. What type of body of water is is it?

10. How will you cross the water?

Here are the results.

This has been a relational psychology test. The answers given to the questions have been shown to have a relevance to values and ideals that we hold in our personal lives. The analysis follows:

1. The person who you are walking with is the most important person in your life.

2. The size of the animal is representative of your perception of the size of your problems.

3. The severity of the interaction you have with the animal is representative of how you deal with your problems. (passive/aggressive)

4. The size of your dream house is representative of the size of your ambition to resolve your problems.

5. No fence is indicative of an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence indicates a closed personality. You’d prefer people not to drop by unannounced.

6. If your answer did not include food, people, or flowers, then you are generally unhappy.

7. The durability of the material with which the cup is made of is representative of the perceived durability of your relationship with the person named in number 1. For example, styrafoam, plastic, and paper are all disposable, styrofoam, paper and glass are not durable, and metal and plastic are durable.

8. Your disposition of the cup is representative of your attitude towards the person in number 1.

9. The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your desire for love.

10. How wet you get in crossing the water is indicative of the relative importance of your love life.

Take everything in gradation…

Hello!

Here’s another photo collage blog where I talk about things Im currently addicted to and obviously obsessing on. This one is about….

OMBRES!!!

if so you know, ombres are more popular on hair which then lead to ombre fashion. Ombre actually came from the french word shade. So in a nutshell, Ombres are gradations of colors or a shade of a color. The subtle or chaotic gradation from black to white, white to pink and the like.

I usually call it “dip dyeclothing since using the word ombre makes me sound Mexican (no, this is not racist speech and I have nothing against Mexicans 😉 ). Well, in this uncivilized poorly economized place where Im staying, i cant find anything Ombre here (or pretty much anything that trends) usually the thing trending around the world right now, it will take a year or 2 for it to trend here *facepalms* anyway, I find the trend quite unique.

There are some Ombre style shirts and dresses which can be bought from Zara or ASOS but they’re pretty much pricey and stuff. Since Im a (non-sew) DIY freak I’d like to do it alternatively. Improvise. With the help of a plain white cotton shirt just sitting around cluttering my closet, I can turn it into a fashion statement for less than a dollar!

You can find several tutorials in the internet. You can go google it now, but Ill make things easy for you.

Tutorials

I’ve actually done two ombre’s earlier today (one orange, and one grass green). Dont worry, Ill be making more and this time with photos 🙂

Here are couple of photos to get you inspired 🙂

I so love the ombre stockings concept. omg.

Oh and if you have dark clothes or denim you can bleach them! The same way how you dyed the clothes. But dont let the garment in the bleach too long, or you wont like the consequences.

Lol love this one (NSFW)

Well that’s all. There are more notable examples when you google those. These are just some DIY inspirations 🙂 gunna buy some more dyes tomorrow.

See you all in the next post!

I’ve been pondering

Aint the picture pretty? its s dreamy and relaxing. I’ve always been pondering on what the future has for me. Of course, I have plenty of dreams, I always reach for the moon I dream for everything, being famous, own a mansion and everything. I want to be famous and to be indulged in luxury, go shopping, have a big fashion label and the like. I know its not wrong to dream, but Im in doubt. I dont know if my dreams will come true (Im already working hard) I know that someday Ill be there….. but what if I cant? I just cant help but think of the other possibilities. Waht if ‘opportunity’ finally knocks on my door and I just ignored it? 😐

Bah. I’ve always wanted to have a mansion, design my own room, have my own stylist + a studio and photography crew, yes I do soundd Diva-ish but hey? who doesnt want some of these? Im utterly conceived by fame and maybe corruption will probably devour me. But I know, I myself, will destroy the monster inside me.

I just have to trduge through life with unwavering manners, Ill just smile, life will get tired of upsetting me.

Need to turn on my optimism.

So my parcel arrived earlier this week. I bought a tunic and mint pleated button-up shirt. The shirt’s chiffon btw! I so love everything about it! its so classy and all. Well if I were to go to a formal party, this is a first choice. But the shirt’s  a bit oversized so I cant technically use it with the tunic unless I want myself looking like a dead corpse about to plunge in my deathbed.

Tunic and Mint shirt is from Ebay

Brooch bought from a mall

Shoes are from Dad

Jeans are mine

Envelope clutch bag bought from a mall

I also (badly) need a sewing machine. With it, I can make some fashion upgrades that require sewing + I can alter/repair some over/undersized garments that I have a certain fetish (?) on. Well my days of vacation is already countable. My days of lounging here at home getting whiter and whiter is almost at its end. Eventually Ill go and leave this blog on hiatus for 6 months (Ill update as possible). First semesters are the busiest somehow, and Im begging to get sullen about college, but why am I going to quit when my journey to fame is still beginning?? I’ve gained weight too, which is good since Im more likely to use these fat for schoolwork and the like. The only thing that keeps me excited for the openings is the new person/s I will meet. I do pray that Ill have a very hot classmate  to give me motivation + I need a boyfriend.

Oh and my Father is already abroad. Im still a bit worried about him, at his age. Hope he’s gonna be okay. And  I soooo want to migrate. No, Im not sure (and Im not bragging) that my parent’s and my relatives abroad are considering a migration plan for us but I just want one. I want to view life in a new perspective. Im kinda fed up of the same-old.

I’ve been doing some DIY lately. Galaxy prints and t-shirt printing + some dyeing and everything. And Im also joining Grindr, but it kinda makes me a desperate gay guy? 😐 Im also pondering whether Ill sell some galaxy shirt prints, since you cant find anything with galaxies in my country + if there was its gunna make the wallet bleed. Its incredibly stylish and I need to experiment if the shirts are washable. Here they are:

What do you think?

Ill be posting more pictures of my DIY + a new look.

Oh and I encourage leaving comments and opinions 🙂

See you all in the next post!

A drift to the cosmics

Hello!

Okay so I was browsing through lookbook‘s forums and I stumbled upon a thread about how to print some galaxy graphic tees. Of course, Im not foreign to these shirt things since I saw a couple of people in lookbook walking with galaxies, constellations and stars on them. I admit it I was a bit surprised because I thought these tees were just for sale or printed via computer or its by the fabric used etc. but it’s handpainted so you can actually do a DIY of it.

Im a sucker for galaxies, since its the modern era, and Gaga’s born this way era seems full of extra terrestrial stuff and outer space and retrogrades I should really consider this. Aside from mint, I do want some of these. I dont know if Im late or whatever, but the community where Im staying is so outdated 😐

Anyway, you can make the fancy t-shirt with just simple tools

  • an old toothbrush
  • a fine paintbrush
  • textile paint or acyrlic paint
  • spraybottle
  • bleach
  • any garment as long as it’s dark colored (oh and cotton is good)

Ill be buying some supplies tomorrow. Im so excited to do this! I have a some plain blacks in my close + I found old pair of black jeans from my father’s closet (he probably wont use this). Anyway, Ill be buying some purples and blacks and experiment with some colors. I only have a budget of 13$ and I hope I can pull this off. If I get interesting result I might sell these things 🙂

I love the idea! its so unique + easy to make and it turns out quite awesome!

anyway, here are some tuts

http://thisfashionismine.blogspot.com/2011/10/diy-galaxy-print-tee.html here’s a tut with photos 🙂

Here’s some inspiration:<

Im so excited to do this. Gonna shop for supplies tomorrow. Hopefully, mom would lend us some money! 🙂

Ill be posting my own rendition of the trend if the results are interesting 🙂

The Overridden Renegade

Hello readers!

I know its been five days since I last posted something here. I was a bit in a mild hiatus seen I havent been catching some good sleep lately + I’ve gone online shopping for some clothes and did some quality time with my father since he’ll be working abroad.

I usually photography my looks in meadows and scenery since its summer so I did this indoors and I love how it turned out but I think I’ve got a bit too carried away with the editing. So here’s the big deal, I bought Lightroom 3 since this photo editing software is indestructive unlike photoshop. In Lightroom 3 you can control almost anything, color tones, highlights, shadows, exposure, even special effects + I incorporate it with photoshop for some more savvy special effects .

I really cant tell if its a bit overridden and stuff but its quite okay. Just tweaked some tonal adjustments and used photoshop for the colorful lightings and curves. Practically, I have little knowledge on portrait photography, since Im posting my looks I think I should need to study and improve in that. Im also planning to go hiking and get some photos of some scenery here in my city, probably this weekend 🙂

Okay so how am I?

  • First, I have a parcel arriving either tomorrow or the day after and Ill probably be posting a look afterwards.
  • I want to go watch Battleship and The Avengers, me + my BFF will go watch Battleship first
  • I need to look for some floral shirts and Lennon sunglasses
  • I need a new camera lens for. Either ones that are good for macros or portraits, but more likely I’d choose the latter

Well that’s probably it, I think.

Here’s a gallery of some photos my sister took + the editing. Let me know something in the comments.

See you all in the next post.

Lots of Love. With Orange Colored Skies.

Hello readers!

I beckon any of you love dancing and/or playing in the rain. I love rain clouds and gloomy days, I dont know why. Especially if it accompanies cold winds and stuff, its kinda like a nice time to have a stroll with a loved one (boyfriend) and cuddle each other while walking (if ever that’s possible). Anyway, it rained yesterday ( I love the fact that its scorching hot the rest of the day, and it compensates by raining for an hour at dusk) well I dont remember my last time I bathed in the rain but it sure was fun.

So I didnt waste time since I know the rain wont be staying so long, I went out and the rain drops welcomed me. The cold drips feel nostalgic. Its kinda great to feel like a child again. I crashed into puddles, slid on the road, tasted the rain. Everything was so perfect. I will cherish this simple thing life has offered for me. I went running in the rain, twirling and screaming. The subdivision was a bit deserted so I screamed my lungs off. And I also went to the river. Oh how it feels to be young again.

I also love that lingering smell of damp earth, leaves and rain! I dont know but it feel so fresh and relaxing. I also love the haze that lingers when a rain pours down hot concrete. But most of the time, I like sleeping to the sounds of raindrops (especially strong ones) splattering on my glass window,  and the sound of the vicious winds humming through the small seeps at the sides of the window and the roars of the thunder. Reminds me of warm nights when I was a child. Where I would go run to the covers when the thunders roared.

Well the rain has passed so I went home and hosed myself down. The warm water was invigorating. I decided to play with it and made artificial rain. I was a child for like an hour. And I never regretted it. I took a bath afterwards and ran out with my camera. Took shots of the aftermath of the rain. Edited them and so far I have these.

So what do you think of my photographs? They’re a bit drab but I think its okay. Any tips? 🙂 Im not quite good at this, but Ill work on it + I need a new camera lens. Macros and Portrait ones are in my eye lately. Any recommendations?

I wanted to take a photo of myself twirling in the rain, but I dont wanna risk my camera to get broken + I dont have someone to take a picture.

So how do you feel when ur dancing in the rain?

See you in the next post!
