Look: Insensitive Tyranny

Hello everyone!

I guess its time to update some of my looks fresh from my new wardrobe with a little spice of DIY! who doesnt like DIY?! hahaha

Insensitive Tyranny

The look is kind of a nerdy one, I may be assuming but the look Im strutting is about a librarian/bookworm look. The buttonup shirt, bow tie, satchels and nerdy glasses would give you an idea Im aiming for that look.

I love how it turned out actually, even the plain brown background from my room upstairs served its purpose and the lighting was also great! Its from a small window in front of me. It was afternoon that time, so the light is subtle.

Bow tie

My bow tie is actually a DIY project. I had nothing to do at home so I gathered some scrap heap of cloth and some faux pearls and this pearl monster was born. I did another one, black and studded and Ill feature it in another post.

bow tie 2

It took me roughly an hour to finish it since Im already in the aid of my trusty sewing machine. I admit adding the beads or beading was fun and worthwhile the threadwork at the back is shabby! but it still looks great!

Ill be doing a lot more of these bow tie babies and its gonna be a week! You’ll be luck if I could post a tutorial, but there are handfuls of tutorials on the internet and probably better.

BTW here are other pictures

Landscape stand bow Stand

Ill be up and about this following week since I need to beautify some of my profiles or improve them, greatly, but Ill post! ūüôā

Thanks for reading!

Hello readers! ( I got to think of some other ways to open a blog post, the “hello readers” act is getting too, bland)

so we went to this rock cavern near our beach the other day. I might say the place looks pretty neat and ideal for exotic photoshoots. A little travel and photography do seem to get along together. Basically its summer here in PH (Rather hotter than usual) and you know when its summer here? it rains fire, pardon me for the exaggeration¬†but the heat feels like YOU’RE ABOUT TO MELT. Summer for me would the good time of the year because I do leisure more often and I could use bright and vivid clothes to match with the sunny weather but I do prefer winter to be honest.

IMG_4080

The photographs turned out to be quite well. My team should’ve used mroe complex materials for photoshoots, but a camera, some natural light and skilled post processing would do. Oh and you might have noticed I havent set ‘tones’ or color schemes in the photo, I’d love the color so filters arent needed + summer is probably all about bright and colorful tones so these would do.

My color scheme for this look is truly a fav. Im getting crazy over how vivid my blue shorts looked, along with the lighter hue scarf I found in my closet (which I bought haphazardly in an attempt to burn money when Im bored) my shirt also did a good job, I added gold spikes on the wingtips for extra leverage and I used some gold accessories too. My shoes were a tad expensive (1,300 php) but they’re worth it, tho I only use them¬†seldom¬†(Im afraid it would wear off + gold is not a very flexible color, in my opinion that is).

I love how my sister took a photo from behind a bush and blurred them it kind of added a first-person feel, or a someone-is-watching-you feeling, whatever. Okay so I decided thats time to make some improvement after a year of procrastination. Im going to improve my lookbook account and add some new followers and readers to this blog. As always, helping me and/or comments are always welcome ūüôā

I wont let them destroy these dreams

HELLO! ‚̧

been experimenting with photography tricks lately, and I might say I got inspired by the levitation concept. Well its the last days of my summer break and classes start again so Im living it to the fullest, though I know summer classes wouldnt be as bland as the regular semestral classes since its a bit lighter with only two subjects and stuff, but let’s see what this leads to.

IMG_3853-Edit-Edit

IMG_3980-Edit-Edit-Edit

Kind of achieved the ‘dreamy’ feel to the photo but I think it got a bit off when I added the cloud which as you can see is blended poorly, still, the overall picture is quite great. I gave this photo a more ‘floating’ feel.

IMG_3955-Edit-Edit-Edit-Editnow this ‘falling from cloud nine’ pose is a bit hard to do (especially the posing, you cant imagine how much tumbles I got not to mention I almost broke my back) its a tad simple, but it¬†shouldn’t¬†be trifled with

as much as I love having a levitation perk on my coding than the next guy, here’s some awesome inspiration that I got from the internet.

The following I searched for the term ‘sleep elevation’, which is a random post I encountered while reading blogs, forgive me for not adding credits.

isnt it all dreamy??!! the photographe probably used rope.

the¬†next¬†set are also some levitation photos minus the extreme heights…

a couple of handfuls. cool right? Im planning to do the ‘vadering’ stunt ūüôā dont worry, Ill post soon enough. SOON. ūüôā

what do you think ?

Lots of Love. With Orange Colored Skies.

Learn to Love again

OUTFIT POST!

Finally. I know you guys have been waiting for me to post an outfit, which I myself am pretty excited too.

2nd semester finally had its time and its all dust this time around. Now Im enjoying my 2-week summer ‘break’. This time around I have summer classes, which is quite a bum and all, but its better than doing nothing when you’re at home.

Me and my sister took turn taking shots of ourselves and the results are quite satisfactory, good I might say ūüôā

Here’s my sister’s outfit (which undeniably garnered 100+ ¬†likes in facebook, talk about ms. popular)

IMG_3563-Edit

AND here’s my look. I used my recently bought black denim shirt (which isnt¬†actually¬†denim, the cloth pattern made it look like denim + its¬†comfortable to¬†wear) along with my camel suede pants-turned-pedal some spiked accessories and shoes.

The time of ‘shoot’ was late afternoon around 4:00 pm, so the heat is a bit ablaze and the sun is still bright. but I love how it turned out + how my post-processing skills has gone honed.

Some of you might be wondering why ‘Learn to Love again’ is the title. Lets just say, I went through something tragic, recovering, yes, and in no time Ill be back in track. Somehow the wounds he left we a bit lighter, or maybe this time around Im just stronger than my previous self. Well, what doesnt kill you make you stronger as they would say so lets abide.

if you have a lookbook account, feel free to hype my look here and be my fan here

More outfits to be posted. so stay tuned.

Loves. xx

Bonus post: My Instagram!!!

Hi readers!

I just want to share to you my IG account. As you can see I have quite a talent in photography and image post-processing. Carrying professional cams around the globr would be a bit bulky and Im an ‘on-the-go’ person – ai travel lightly (Id like to think it that way). So instead of a camera I use my phone (whose shots are also quite impressive. 8 mp.)

Though IG’s filters are already awesome on its own, I prefer to tweak my photos a bit more so I use a variety of phone apps for filters.

I prefet sharing pictures than posting a status. You can get to the point more + I like to play with ny camera.

Anywhoo. My IG account is @nemorcust

I dont post self pics and food that much. So Im more of a hipster person. Here are some of my best pictures:

TGIF 2013 Glamazon: A Designer’s Arena

Being a designer is not simply about being creative, mixing color schemes, studying different concepts of design or sketching an elaborate croquis, a designer needs to have attitude, substance, a philosopher in mind and in heart. Procuring a variety of designs is a result of the creative artist’s catharsis, its where a designer pours and purifies his emotions into his yet-to-be magnum opus.

As a first step to my dream of being a designer, I entered Uni’s TGIF event – An annual event where student designers are given a chance to showcase their God-given talents in creating brilliant designs later to be strut on the glorified runway. I had the opportunity in my hands and almost slipped it away but I was glad I took it back. The whole experience was menacing, juggling the life of a medical student by day and rampaging through scaffolds of assemblages and work as a designer by night (not to mention depriving my body of sleep), but it was rewarding, I had the certain mindset that I wasnt working for the trophy or any of the awards, I was working on my design for I know its my passion and its overwhelming to see your creation come to life, it was all that matters.

In the earlier stages of our work, I had a sense of doubt and intimidation. I doubted we could ever finish our work on time, or our designs would lack attractiveness or would be bland compared to the other colleges, still we worked on.

On the night of the event I didnt feel nervous, I was excited. Excited to see how talented my fellow student designers are, and how I could learn and garner incentives from them to be later on added to my repertoire. The theme of this year’s TGIF event was GLAMAZON, which¬†emphasizes the¬†late¬†dernier cri of animal prints. The¬†event¬†had 4 categories namely Arthropod (insects), Lofty (Birds) , Tamed (Harmless animals), and Predators (reptiles, lions etc).

Their designs fail to disappoint

Every model flaunted a work of art. Works of art that deep inside resembled the tears, sweat (and probably blood) that were shed to make their pieces come to a reality. Each model giving justice to the design by adding zest to their strut on the runway.

Here are some pictures that I shamelessly grabbed from facebook. Taken by:

Pictures taken by the amazing Adrian Alquisada. I wasnt at the front row when I was watching. Though I still had a glance of the exotic clothes, the shots left me in awe, jaw-dropping awe.

The shots are not in chronological order. My apologies for that.

Although we left with empty hands, I didnt feel that way. I was happy, satisfied to be exact, and wanting for more. The TGIF experience gave me new insights, planning and better incentives since I am a newbie. Improvements and better management should be observed by next year, Im willing to join again and implement new experiences and strategies to guarantee our college would get the sure win.

See you all in my next post.

Apocalyptic Shopping

Hi everyone ūüôā

I dont know if Im deserving to show my face to you right now, since I broke ny promise to update this blog more often.

Ok Im sorry + I know the rule that you shouldnt apologize when its accompanied by an excuse, but here’s my excuse:

-school. Ive been so busy. Obviously.
-lazyness. Well it loves my company.
-frequent blocks. There are just times where I dont know what to blog about.

Well I wont promise that Ill blog regularly but Ill do my best to blog ūüôā

Ok so as all of you know about the Mayan prophecy that the world WILL end by 21st of December this year. Well. It didnt. I didnt believed such thing from the start, though I admit Ive been a bit scared when I saw the movie. Well as every human being should do when the world ends: Live like there is no tomorrow.

Some people would prolly make use of their well-preserved virginity or fuck every person they meet on thw street. Some just posted end-of-the-world nudes in their respective accounts. Well I myself just made my apocalyptic experience special.

Knowing that the world is going to end 3 days aftwr my bday, I decided to go and make use of hard-saved allowance.

image

First I bought some fierce kicks. Studded and gold. Ive been craving for these babies since I first saw them trend 2 seasons ago. Luckily I now own a pair ūüôā

image

image

image

image

image

I also bought some accessories to add up to my collection. Im more of a fanciful accessory junky. They’re iconic + affordable (and by affordable I mean CHEAP) there’s this local accessory store which is prolly owned by a chinese merchant where they sell these accessories for quite a decent value (unlike those wallet-bleeding accessories u find in branded stores)

image

Lastly I bought some new clothes!! Two new pants. I have thise weird shortage of trousers, to the extent that Ive been using the same pair every week!!! I also bought my button-ups. The two are denim. Well denim-like I think. Ive been wanting to own these since forever. I bought the shirt because I love the print and I thought it had ARMANI on it. But no, it spelt MR MAN. Do I have dyslexia or something??

Well its Xmas eve here in my place so Im gonna go and stuff myself. Ive been a bag of bones lately. Ill post another one soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :)))

Lots of Love. With Orange Colored Skies.

Why is a Raven like a writing desk?

Hello readers!

Its been a while since updated a look, well, here it is! I love how this look just came to me in rush hours. I usually plan my clothes a day before or do some shopping to complete a look, but this one was made from pure resourcefulness and adrenaline rush. The jeans were from mum. 2 years back she bought some colorful jeans because it was trendy that time, now she refuses to wear it, well, she uses it¬†occasionally¬†though. So I borrowed these from her (she has like 6 diff. colors). Im also considering doing some color blocking which pretty much Ill discuss in a later post. Im adding some new colorful recruits to my wardrobe because Im getting too overwhelmed with the neutrals (esp black). Ill be choosing¬†out some bold colors from my wardrobe and arrange them in a color wheel and start color blocking. I¬†usually¬†go to ‘wear palettes‘ for some inspiration on what color¬†palette¬†should I use, color blocking might help me too ūüôā

The look kind of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Im still regretting on the fact that a teacup and a saucer would be a great prop to this look ūüėź

The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.

Hello readers! So Im back from my 3-day hiatus because I went to Boracay for a little summer getaway. Its already been ages since I got back from this beautiful place, probably 8 years ago. Ok so Im about to tell the story of the 3-day trip in one whole post! Now get your¬†popcorn¬†(or potatoes if you prefer) + the best part is… PICTURES!!! ok now, let’s start.

So here are us (we’re 5 actually) waiting for our ferry ride to Boracay.

There were many poeple at the terminal that time + there was a ‘senior band’ playing some classic beats.

Of course there were tickets. Terminal fees and Environmental fees and a government pass. Was a bit pricey though.

Here’s the Pier, Waiting for our ride at this point. It was cloudy. but it didnt rain ūüôā

and here’s our ride. The ferry is air conditioned.¬†Note: Dont take Air-conditioned¬†ferries. Its not wort it. You’ll just ride in an Air conditioned room for just 15 minutes.

Along the way you can see the pristine aqua blue waters and this little rock island. I dont know if people go here, but the view is breath-taking.

Depending on how long you’ve waited and how fast the ferry is, you’ll be there in approximately 15 minutes. ¬†We’ve actually waited for 30 minutes and a travel time of 10 minutes. Here is mom arriving at the pier. The ladder was a bit woozy.

We booked a hotel which is approximately 2 km away from the capital. At least the resort was not too mainstream (I hate crowded places) and the pool is HUGE with artificially made waves . Oh and another thing, we can go to the capital for free because the resort provides transportation to and from the capital.

So here’s the exterior look of the rooms we lived in for the last 3 days. (I didnt took a picture of the interior because of the mess which is too improper for wordpress). The room had 6 beds which humbly¬†accommodated¬†5 of us and one small bathroom, there are also a couple outdoor showers.

SO that was the day when we arrived. When nigh came, we decided to swim in the pool + lounge in the Jacuzzi. There were pictures, but its too blurry and dark. It feels kinda free to swim in that gigantic pool.

The next day…..

Had to wake up early since we dont want our precious stay here go to waste through oversleeping (I only had 6 hours of sleep). Here is me completely dressed up sitting at the mini beach reading + taking pictures. Didnt had the chance to take a picture of the sunset and sunrise (what was I thinking?!). Waited for an hour till ll of them were ready to go.

Here’s the view that you’ll see at the right. If you look closely there’s a cave.

Here’s the left side. The shore’s piled up with dead leaves and mildly some garbage, but the water’s clean all throughout. There’s ¬†boat and a little shed, wish I could go there, but idk if that’s the resort’s property or not.

here’s another more ‘colorful’ view.

Im still baffled on the fact that the shore was covered with small corals and not white sand.

Here’s the view when you approach the shore. I was leaving for the mall at this point.

There’s this¬†wonderful¬†rest house¬†next to the resort. The owner of this house must be drop dead rich.

By this point, we’re already travelling to the capital + we’re going to “D*mall” to find some souvenirs and stuff.

Finally arrived there. The place is scattered with boutiques. You can find almost anything here that fits your summer needs. Of course, this place is full of pricey stuff, if you dig deeper into the ‘shopping¬†maze’ the price will get cheaper. Im basically looking for a summer shirt, round sunnies and a boat hat.

this is probably a novelty shop. Full of souvenirs and those lanterns and some tie-dyed summer dresses and shirts.

Here are my companions. Mum my sister and our maid. They were probably gonna buy some new bikinis in this shop.

Here is me and my sister. Leaving those pricey shoppes behind. We’re actually looking for the beach.

after a couple of turns and twirls, you’ll eventually get to the beach. So here it is. We decided to walk in the sandy streets since I myself dont want getting burned (maybe not now). The beach is great! The white sand and the aqua waves¬†blend¬†beautifully! and what made the beach more¬†beautiful¬†to look at are strolling shirtless hot guys (drools).

And I was right! You can find some more cheaper (and more fabulous) finds at the end of a pricey road. ¬†The hats from the earlier shoppes we entered we’re like 250 pesos (approx.¬†5 dollars) yet the hats cost 150 pesos here (approx¬†3 dollars) and you can even haggle! hahaha bought two hats here, a fedora (that ¬†light brown¬†one) and a boat hat.

So here’s mum feeling fabulous in a new summer hat she bought. Obviously getting red of the heat (I’m¬†still amazed she¬†haven’t¬†broke out from¬†the heat¬†waves).

and behold, the hotel for all the royal bloods and celebrities. IDK what’s the rates of this hotel, but damn, by the looks of it, its gonna cost me a fortune just a one-night stay.

moving on… of course I need to take a photo of myself! The heat was searing, still, the beach is breath-taking.

So we arrived (and stopped-over) at another pricey hotel. Probably one second to Boracay Regency. Again, I dont know what are the rates.

So here’s a concrete photo of the ‘sandy streets’ I was talking about. The place is active at night.

Some necklaces and accessories which you can buy for a cheap price. Some are sold 3 for 100 pesos (approx 2 dollars). Smaller keepsakes are sold for 7 for 100 pesos or possibly free, if you bought a lot of things from the store.

who’s a fanatic for feathers and native american stuff? they sell these medium dream catchers for 180 pesos (approx. 4 dollars). There are smaller ones, there were some dream catcher necklaces and geauges for 60 pesos ¬†(approx. 1.5 dollars).

A closer look.

The store also seels some ‘sarongs’ which I prefer to call a scarf or a shawl great for cover ups when you’re wearing bikinis. They’re pricey. One not low than 300 pesos (approx. 6 dollars)

There were lots of colorful shorts and floral shirts. Paintings and crafts. The owner is probably a Muslim.

Pins, Coin purses, magnets, key chains and shell  merch.

My face is red from all the heat.

And a flurry of shoppes appear.

Another novelty shop to buy some souvenirs.

Cute mirror.

Cute starfishes. Dried and Dyed. I still hope they didnt kill these things.

More shells ūüôā

More Merch.

Even more merch.

merch. merch. merch.

Oooooh what I’d pay to bask in the sun, swim in the waves, parasail and dive ooh and some banana boating.

And there’s this¬†interesting¬†shoppe. There’s some bones and stuff. Remember those tooth necklaces? I think they’re only sold there.

There’s a lot of tents and places where you cant eat lunch on the sand + admire the splendor of the island.

Now leaving D*mall. We actually bought something.

At this point, we already went back to the resort and had some rest. We went back again at 6 pm to explore the island at night.

The island is actually pretty at night. Lights and stuff. The “party hot spots” and disco clubs gets more crowded after 12 mn. The island gets more crowded at 7 pm, probably¬†because¬†dinner is a great thing.

Bokehs…. *drools* o_0

So Ill keep posting some pictures of the island at night. Not much to say.

Probably one of the most colorful and prettiest place on the island. This is actually a dinner spot. They have couches and coffee tables inside ūüôā

IDK if this resembles a Gay hot spot. But still, its pretty ūüôā

At least we encountered a small¬†rendition¬†of the famous sandcastle in Boracay ūüôā

There’s a store of all flip flops. Havaianas flip flops.

We were hungry from all the walking. So we were searching for a place to eat some grub, seafood grub. Ended up eating at the local¬†Mang Inasal, because the prices will make mum’s wallet bleed to death. Still craving for lobster though.

And we also encountered these living statues. Actually, its not worth to take a picture with them (you need to tip them!)

So after we ate dinner, we went back to the resort and rested. The day after we made a last swim on the pool (they turned on the waves btw)

The following pictures are our departure from the island.

We also decided to visit the cold springs at Caticlan, Huro Hurom cold springs to be exact. But we ended up not to, because there were to many people (I hate crowded places).

Here are some photos.

The springs were ICE COLD.

After suffering many “crashes” like overheating I took the chance to photograph the road encased with lush. Quite¬†beautiful¬†if you asked me ūüôā

I also took the time to do some Bokehs with focused subjects.

Well that is it! Im home now, and need to deal with people, especially back at school. Thanks for everything Boracay! I did enjoy! Maybe next time Ill go rougher and enjoy my stay there!

How about you guys? have you been to Boracay? share me the highlights of your trip and stay ūüôā

SO SORRY for the long post. I hope you enjoyed your potato ūüôā

See you all in the next post!

Taking Andromeda for a walk

Hello everyone!

So I just finished my Galaxy DIY weeks ago. Its been fun doing it + it turned out quite awesome. I also made sure the paint ran dry and I also washed it before I would use it. The outcome was great! The Tee is clean + the design is crisp! Added a galaxy patter at the bacl and some cuts. Removed the collar since round collars strangle me + I want my collar bones to be visible (seems sexy) although I did hid it with my scarf. still. Anyway here are some photos. I want to do some copies + sell these but idk.

Black Scarf.  DIY Galaxy Shirt. Black Shorts. Black Long Cardigan. Toms Shoes. Prada backpack.

Im maximizing the potentials of my 1-year old camera. Im shooting in RAW and although it eats memory too much (my memory is only 2 GB) the results are quite great and post processing is a breeze and more easy to manipulate! Im also toning down my editing since some people been saying that my photos are a over edited or such so Im trying to “naturally” edit my photos.

shirt inspiration:

Will be¬†having¬†a fab vacation tomorrow to the white beaches so Ill see this monday ūüôā

See you all in the next post!

Lots of Love. With Orange Colored Skies.
