Learn to Love again

OUTFIT POST!

Finally. I know you guys have been waiting for me to post an outfit, which I myself am pretty excited too.

2nd semester finally had its time and its all dust this time around. Now Im enjoying my 2-week summer ‘break’. This time around I have summer classes, which is quite a bum and all, but its better than doing nothing when you’re at home.

Me and my sister took turn taking shots of ourselves and the results are quite satisfactory, good I might say 🙂

Here’s my sister’s outfit (which undeniably garnered 100+  likes in facebook, talk about ms. popular)

AND here’s my look. I used my recently bought black denim shirt (which isnt actually denim, the cloth pattern made it look like denim + its comfortable to wear) along with my camel suede pants-turned-pedal some spiked accessories and shoes.

The time of ‘shoot’ was late afternoon around 4:00 pm, so the heat is a bit ablaze and the sun is still bright. but I love how it turned out + how my post-processing skills has gone honed.

Some of you might be wondering why ‘Learn to Love again’ is the title. Lets just say, I went through something tragic, recovering, yes, and in no time Ill be back in track. Somehow the wounds he left we a bit lighter, or maybe this time around Im just stronger than my previous self. Well, what doesnt kill you make you stronger as they would say so lets abide.

Why is a Raven like a writing desk?

Hello readers!

Its been a while since updated a look, well, here it is! I love how this look just came to me in rush hours. I usually plan my clothes a day before or do some shopping to complete a look, but this one was made from pure resourcefulness and adrenaline rush. The jeans were from mum. 2 years back she bought some colorful jeans because it was trendy that time, now she refuses to wear it, well, she uses it occasionally though. So I borrowed these from her (she has like 6 diff. colors). Im also considering doing some color blocking which pretty much Ill discuss in a later post. Im adding some new colorful recruits to my wardrobe because Im getting too overwhelmed with the neutrals (esp black). Ill be choosing out some bold colors from my wardrobe and arrange them in a color wheel and start color blocking. I usually go to ‘wear palettes‘ for some inspiration on what color palette should I use, color blocking might help me too 🙂

The look kind of reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. Im still regretting on the fact that a teacup and a saucer would be a great prop to this look 😐

The thing about jobs

Hello once again readers.

Just wanted to share this small thing and I want to stress it out.

I wanted to be a fashion designer, or an interior designer or anything that involves my creativity since it is my passion. Im in college right now and going to finish a 4-year medical course. I also want to be a doctor (my parents arent really pressuring me) a dermatologist (which I have to complete in another 4 or 5 years) actually since beauty, is also a passion of mine + it is a well payed job. Im just bothered that here (I dont know if its Asian issues or the society) you are judged entirely if your work is well payed for. Personally, my first choice was to be a fashion designer, so basically I plan on taking up fashion designing. We all know those fashion designers are already billionaires but I think finding a job (when Im already a designer) is gonna be hard + the job is not very practical according to speculations they would say its just a ‘hobby job’.

I dont know if its the culture or how much people want to earn money. I just want my job to be something I want to work for, something that my passion is involved so that I have that feeling of gratefulness every Monday and proudly exclaiming “I love my work.” But I cant bear with it. Since a well payed job will get you higher in the society ranks but the belief is just stupid :|. Probably the reason why most people hate their jobs.

Anyway, Ill just stick with it. Might as well be a fashion designer, when time + opportunity permits me. You gotta start with the small things.

Take everything in gradation…

Hello!

Here’s another photo collage blog where I talk about things Im currently addicted to and obviously obsessing on. This one is about….

OMBRES!!!

if so you know, ombres are more popular on hair which then lead to ombre fashion. Ombre actually came from the french word shade. So in a nutshell, Ombres are gradations of colors or a shade of a color. The subtle or chaotic gradation from black to white, white to pink and the like.

I usually call it “dip dye” clothing since using the word ombre makes me sound Mexican (no, this is not racist speech and I have nothing against Mexicans 😉 ). Well, in this uncivilized poorly economized place where Im staying, i cant find anything Ombre here (or pretty much anything that trends) usually the thing trending around the world right now, it will take a year or 2 for it to trend here *facepalms* anyway, I find the trend quite unique.

There are some Ombre style shirts and dresses which can be bought from Zara or ASOS but they’re pretty much pricey and stuff. Since Im a (non-sew) DIY freak I’d like to do it alternatively. Improvise. With the help of a plain white cotton shirt just sitting around cluttering my closet, I can turn it into a fashion statement for less than a dollar!

I’ve actually done two ombre’s earlier today (one orange, and one grass green). Dont worry, Ill be making more and this time with photos 🙂

Oh and if you have dark clothes or denim you can bleach them! The same way how you dyed the clothes. But dont let the garment in the bleach too long, or you wont like the consequences.

A drift to the cosmics

Hello!

Okay so I was browsing through lookbook‘s forums and I stumbled upon a thread about how to print some galaxy graphic tees. Of course, Im not foreign to these shirt things since I saw a couple of people in lookbook walking with galaxies, constellations and stars on them. I admit it I was a bit surprised because I thought these tees were just for sale or printed via computer or its by the fabric used etc. but it’s handpainted so you can actually do a DIY of it.

Im a sucker for galaxies, since its the modern era, and Gaga’s born this way era seems full of extra terrestrial stuff and outer space and retrogrades I should really consider this. Aside from mint, I do want some of these. I dont know if Im late or whatever, but the community where Im staying is so outdated 😐

Anyway, you can make the fancy t-shirt with just simple tools

  • an old toothbrush
  • a fine paintbrush
  • textile paint or acyrlic paint
  • spraybottle
  • bleach
  • any garment as long as it’s dark colored (oh and cotton is good)

Ill be buying some supplies tomorrow. Im so excited to do this! I have a some plain blacks in my close + I found old pair of black jeans from my father’s closet (he probably wont use this). Anyway, Ill be buying some purples and blacks and experiment with some colors. I only have a budget of 13$ and I hope I can pull this off. If I get interesting result I might sell these things 🙂

Born This Way: The Closet Tour

Hello!

Good news is I’ve been quite active lately in lookbook. Been joining in forums, adding comments, opinions, adding topics to ponder about just to waste time and the like. I’ve been adding some new looks and stuff.

Being a fashion enthusiast I bet a lot of you might be wondering what my closet looks like.  Well its not much, its simple and not quite big. Well I cant just describe it with words and such, now’s the time you get a glimpse of the (only) place in the world I’d love to get lost into (next to shopping malls)

Here’s the overall appearance of my closet. Hanged shirts + blazers are at the top and some t-shirts, jeans and shorts at the bottom (I hid my undies >:p)

If you burrow deep inside, you can find I have two shoe boxes filled with my obsession for Victoria’s Secret scents. I have some BBW and other stuff, a little too many to name.

I wont be posting much about it since it looks like a total drab. I guess Ill leave you with these pictures. I know some of you are surprised and/or mortified. My closet is full, (bursting apparently) so I need a bigger one.

If I were to recreate my closet I would make it as big as my room. An entire floor maybe and/or one house! I just love being surrounded by clothes (I’d rather die being smothered by it) I want my closet to be as big as my room because that room can be my only place to hide in if the world hates me.

Given the opportunity, I would gladly make it into a maze. If ever there’s a intruder they would get lost (and later on delivered to a dungeon of dirty laundry)

Year-End shopping

Site stats keeps on fluctuating. Ok. Keep Calm and Blog.

Yesterday, me and my sister went to the local mall to go accompany mom to buy some groceries. On our arrival, there was like a huge wave of people shopping + buying groceries, and that’s when I realized the local mall had their annual year-end clearance sale.

Here are the pictures of my one-day adventure 🙂

  • Upon arriving to the mall, we went straight through the market part of the mall, when mom texted they were upstairs shopping for some shoes.
  • When we got there I went on trying some shoes and ended up buying a pair of Toms brogue shoes. They look like Oxford’s but a little bit round + the leather is quite soft. Oh, and my mom also bought me the usual Toms, aww how sweet.
  • So Im off to pay for the shoes where the line is so long, it took forever to pay for the shoes, but finally I bought them 🙂 I still want to buy some boat shoes which cost like 700 php or more than 10 bucks and if they had Oxford shoes Im really gonna force myself to only use 10% of my weekly allowance which is 1000 php.
  • After the shoe shopping, me + my BFF que, went down and raid their clothing sale which was marked down to 100 php or like 2 bucks.
  • I bought 3 shorts for only 300 php (100 each) and 2 tees for 200 php (100 each)
  • I should’ve bought some long colored socks but Im out of money, I murdered my 1000 php
  • My perverted little friend had the camera with him. We passed by this ‘Men’s Underwear’ section and he started wrecking havoc
  • So we went down and had little stroll, even though we were dying for a seat and my foot is aching and probably has some blisters.
  • We passed by this shop with some glasses, its too bad they dont have round ones :/ but anyway, I bought some wayfarer glasses for only 90 php ;))
  • That’s when we met with Ara and her crew 🙂 I miss this girl! She got white + rosy cheeks and she got more prettier and made me more jealous of her
  • We went back to the groceries afterwards only to end up going home bringing the fruits + other supplies my mum brought earlier that day
  • At home, blah blah blah surfing the net, and we had Pizza + Siomai balls as a snack! Scrumptious!
  • Night came and we decided to buy some fireworks or sparklers
  • Please forgive my friend querubin, he was a bit, ummmm, New to the camera
  • We went to auntie’s house only to fnd out they were cooking for New Year’s Eve dinner 🙂 Yummy!
  • And off we go to the city plaza and bought some sparklers
  • We bought some fountains, sparklers, and this firework called Steel Beauty
  • My cousins wont stop blabbing about where’s Goodbye Philippines? I wanna see it (Goodbye Philippines is an illegal firecracker)
  • Took some pictures of the city lights (not to mention there were some guys who were talking about me as a gay version of harry potterignorant little A-holes)
  • Finally went home after we bought some fruits for NYE dinner
  • Made some banana almond shakes + mango milk shakes
  • Tested my prototype Sparkler Bra. It works!

Well that’s what happened yesterday. What a great day it was! :DD
